Amoghasiddhi Centre
is a meditation and retreat centre and home to a growing community
of dedicated Buddhist practitioners. Part of the New Kadampa
Tradition of Mahayana Buddhism, the Centre offers general
meditation classes
as well as more in-depth study
programmes which provide a foundation for developing both
insight into Buddhist philosophy and gaining practical experience.
Amoghasiddhi Centre
is located in the centre of Attleborough, a historic and attractive
market town near Norwich in Norfolk. Based in Cyprus house
the centre provides an attractive, spacious and relaxing environment.
The Centre provides
perfect conditions for meditation,
study and retreats
and holds regularly special
events with teachings from our Resident Teacher Kadam
Chris Heyes.
Amoghasiddhi Centre
also offers the opportunity to learn sacred
art. All art lessons are taught by Kadam Chris Heyes,
a fully qualified NKT artist.

Centre also boasts an attractive and fully operational Oasis
World Peace Café which offers a wide selection of
organic vegetarian food, fine teas and excellent coffees!

Venerable
Geshe Kelsang Gyatso is a renowned meditation
master and scholar. Since arriving in the west in 1977
he has worked tirelessly to provide all the conditions
Westerners need to enter on and complete the Buddhist
path to happiness and peace.
Through his
activities many people now have the opportunity to develop
authentic compassion, wisdom and inner peace by studying
on one of his unique study programmes.

Kadam
Chris Heyes has been appointed by Geshe Kelsang
Gyatso to guide and inspire our community and the many
people who visit the centre.
He
is a close disciple of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso and has
been studying and practising Kadampa Buddhism for over
15 years.
Kadam
Chris is a lay teacher who is married with two children.
Kadam Chris is well loved for his clear, warm and practical
teachings.
