Coming to Amoghasiddhi Buddhist Centre for a Working Visit

In exchange for 30 hours work in a week (exact nature of work to be agreed so that it suits both parties) we offer free accommodation and three meals per day in our friendly and peaceful Buddhist community.

What is a working visit?

For 30 hours of work a week we provide free accommodation and three meals a day. Work starts at 9am, with the day broken up by meals and tea breaks. In the evenings you are more than welcome to join us for any of the classes and meditations if you would like to do this. On your days off you are free to explore the surrounding countryside and towns or relax within the centre.

What type of work will I be doing?

The work you do will depend on what projects we are focused on at the time of your visit as well as the type of work you feel you are best suited to. Types of work can include: helping in our onsite cafe, cooking, painting, decorating, gardening, cleaning and general administration work.

Can you give me details of the accommodation and meals?

We have cosy accommodation for your stay, you will have your own room and share a bathroom. All you need to do is bring a sleeping bag, towel and some work clothes.

Being a Buddhist Centre all food is vegetarian but includes eggs and dairy products.

What if have any special requirements?

We will always try to accommodate people where possible. Please let us know if you have any special requirements (i.e. mobility or dietary) or if you are taking any special medication.
